About Rock End Moor

Nestled amidst the serene moorland above Eastwood, between the quaint towns of Hebden Bridge and Todmorden, lies Rock End Moor—a cherished family-run quarry steeped in heritage. For nearly four decades, our quarry has delivered much loved stone crafts to homes near and far.

In 1986, the esteemed Jim Gault, renowned locally for his mastery of stonemasonry and his musical talents as the bass guitarist of the Owter Zeds, breathed new life into Rock End Moor Delph. This revitalisation marked a significant chapter in the quarry’s history, supplying stone for the meticulous restoration of early Pennine houses.

Gritstone, once relegated to obscurity since the late 19th century, regained its prominence, thanks to the dedication and expertise of Jim Gault and the Rock End Moor team.
